Transportation Investment Campaign
Investment in our crumbling transportation infrastructure is crucial to Massachusetts' economic competitiveness. The network of roads, bridges, public transit, and sidewalks in our state connects people to their jobs, schools, recreation and each other. A healthy transportation system is at the heart of a strong economy.
That's why MAPC remains focused on the Transportation Investment Campaign. Affordable, convenient and efficient transportation is an integral part of the MetroFuture vision and impacts every person living and working in the region. Achieving these goals depends on having a transportation system that is reliably funded.

MAPC has been working with business groups, organized labor, advocacy organizations, and the construction industry to invest the resources needed now to maintain and expand transportation options. See the recent report "Moving Forward: Transportation and the
Massachusetts Economy" released by Our Transportation Future, a strong coalition of transportation stakeholders.
MetroFuture goals include repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure, an expanded transit system, improved infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists, and more efficient project design and construction.
