MetroBoston DataCommon Hands-on Training
The MetroBoston DataCommon, a "sister" initiative to MetroFuture, is an online tool that provides data about the region and each of its cities and towns. It is a resource for all those wishing to better understand how the region and its communities are changing, and help residents, planners, city and town officials, educators, and journalists explore options and make informed decisions. At monthly training sessions held at MAPC's offices, participants learn how to:
- quickly access statistics about your city or town;
- conduct analysis with social and economic data;
- customize your own maps;
- print-out maps or email maps.
Join the upcoming training on Thursday, September 4, 2008, from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Learn more at www.metrobostondatacommon.org, or RSVP with Susan Brunton, sbrunton@mapc.org or (617) 451-2770 x 2066.
